Meet Dr. Levine
Dr. Marie Levine has received a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Montclair State University, as well as Bachelor of Science and a degree as Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. In her professional life she has maintained the highest level of certification practicing optometry to the fullest extent including TPA and oral medicine certification. She maintains membership in various professional organizations including the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.
Dr. Levine has been married to her husband Harold for over 40 years and they have two adult daughters Erin and Chelsea. All three of her family members have joined her practice in some way, both in management and patient care positions. Their youngest graduated from optometry school in May 2015 and has joined the practice as a second generation optometrist.
With her free time Dr. Levine sustainably farms 80 acres in North East Pennsylvania where she grows much of her own organic produce and tends to her flock of free range organic chickens. When she's not outside you can find her cooking, canning, and baking her produce with her large extended family.
Dr. Chelsea Levine-Cusenza is Dr. Levine's youngest daughter who joined the Levine Eye Center summer 2015 after graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in May. Before attending PCO she received a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Scranton. After many successful rotations during her academic career, she is excited to finally be home and able to join in her family's practice.
Outside the field of optometry, Dr. Cusenza has been an avid horseback rider since she was five and was even the captain of her college's equestrian team. She has continued with her passion throughout her years at school and continues to ride and compete on the Hunter/Jumper circuit.
